What is mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy describes a superficial injection technique in which small amounts of selected active ingredients are introduced into the skin. The method is not a single, standardised product or treatment. Composition, treatment area, depth and goal vary.
The names Meso Face, Meso Eye, Meso Cellulite and Meso Hair refer to different areas and concerns. They alone do not establish a recommendation: the specific product, the skin and the treatment goal are what matter.
Meso Face
Facial mesotherapy may be considered where skin hydration, freshness and general skin quality are the main concerns. It is not a conventional volumising treatment and is not intended to change the shape of the face in the way a shaping filler does.
The intended product, its ingredients and possible intolerances are discussed before treatment.
Meso Eye
The skin around the eyes is thin, mobile and anatomically demanding. Meso Eye addresses selected changes in skin quality and fine lines.
However, not every dark circle is a skin problem. Shadows may be caused by anatomy, volume loss, pigmentation, blood vessels or swelling. The page about the eye area helps distinguish these different starting points. A personal assessment is required before treatment.
Meso Cellulite
Cellulite develops through an interaction between connective tissue structure, fat tissue, skin, hormones and genetic factors. Mesotherapy may form part of an individual body treatment plan.
Complete removal of cellulite cannot be guaranteed with this approach. The page on body and cellulite explains why skin, fat tissue and connective tissue are considered separately.
Meso Hair
Meso Hair introduces selected active ingredients into the superficial layers of the scalp. The aim is to provide local support for the scalp and the area around the hair follicles as part of an individual treatment plan.
Previous diagnoses, the progression of hair loss and medication already used are relevant to scalp treatment. A local injection does not establish the cause of hair loss. For new, severe or unexplained hair loss, dermatological examination takes priority. The guide to hair and hair loss describes which observations you can record for the consultation.
How many treatments make sense?
Mesotherapy is often carried out as a course of treatment. The number of sessions and intervals depend on the product used, area, starting point and individual response.
Changes in the scalp or the appearance of the hair cannot be guaranteed by a fixed date. Progress is assessed over time; further sessions do not automatically follow if there is no result.
Limitations
Mesotherapy does not replace fillers for actual volume loss, surgery for significant excess skin or any necessary medical assessment of unusual hair loss.
There may be clear limitations in scarring alopecia, advanced hereditary hair loss or other conditions. A dermatological assessment may be appropriate.
Possible reactions and risks
Possible effects include redness, swelling, burning, small raised bumps, bruising or local reactions. Contraindications, ingredients and further risks are discussed individually before treatment.
